Friday Focus #87

Hey Reader,

I hope you had a great 4th of July! My crew enjoyed quite a few hot dogs and fireworks in the North Carolina mountains—always a fun time. 🇺🇸

If you are new to The Friday Focus, welcome. I'm thankful you're here!

Let's dig in.

If you have a public office or service address, then you need to register it with Apple Business Connect ASAP. It’s completely free and can be completed in less than 30 minutes.

How to Get Your Business Found on Apple Maps

Apple Business Connect

Earlier this year, I helped a financial consultant with their Google Business Profile and kept hitting a wall.

We couldn’t get access to edit the business profile and were stuck with an old New Jersey address. I hounded the Google Business support team for over 4 months, to no avail. We tried using other email accounts. We tried creating profiles with a different name.

We eventually fixed the issue, but I also found out Apple had recently upgraded their old Apple Maps platform to something much more helpful for local business owners. The Apple Business Connect dashboard is simple and easy to use (in true Apple fashion).

They approved the location for my client in less than 24 hours!

Your Google Business Profile is definitely a vital part of your local rankings, but it’s no longer the only player in town.

Here are a few of the key benefits you get with Apple Business Connect:

  1. Get found on Apple Maps.
  2. Control how people see your business (logo, photos, contact info, description, hours, etc.).
  3. Share limited-time offers and announcements.

Optimizing your Apple Business Connect profile can significantly improve your chances of getting noticed by the right clients. By following a few key strategies and best practices, you can make sure your profile stands out from the crowd and drives more leads and sales.

Here's a quick how-to guide to help you out with that. 👇

Friday Focus #86 Hi there, Reader, The Friday Focus took a break this summer, so thanks for sticking around. Here's why – My wife gave birth to our 6th child, Elias Theodore Ragon, last week! Everyone is healthy, full of joy, and much without sleep, haha. Things have been a little busy and I don't regret pausing the newsletter (my typos would have greatly increased!). So, thanks for sticking with me! Adding more kids to our tribe has forced me to re-think and re-focus on what really matters...
